45' Amel Maramu

The Amel Maramu 46 is an elegant world cruiser design by Henri Amel and Jacques Carteau, built by Chantiers Amel. The 46 Maramu is truly a classic sail yacht ready to circumnavigate shorthanded or single-handed. The Amel design are very distinctive in appearance and as well as her functionality. The center cockpit has a hard dogger. The interior work is beautiful dark mahogany, mostly solid, with a real teak and holly floor. The galley of the 46 Maramu opens up to the saloon.

This Amel Maramu has been outfitted to circumnavigate the globe. Since her full refit in 2016 the boat has been well maintained and received continuous upgrades, such as a Marinekinetix wind generator, Spectra Watermaker, and new top and bottom paint (4 months ago).

The yacht comes with numerous spare parts and a wide range of tools and extras.

Accommodation
The standard layout for the Maramu consists of two large cabins fore and aft, each with an identical attached head and shower. Headroom ranges from 6'6" in the saloon, 6'4" in both of the head areas, to 6'3" in both of the staterooms. Every berth aboard the vessel is a minimum of 6'6" in length. The fwd stateroom has 2x single berths which quickly convert to a large double . The aft cabin has a large double berth and a vanity/writing desk. The saloon area readily converts to a proper offshore off-watch sleeping cabin if needed in severer weather conditions. Both the port & starboard settees quickly make into extremely secure sea berths.The interior woods are European timber, plenty of lighting and ventilation making for very comfortable living.

Galley
Force 10 three burner stove and oven (2016). Double s/s sink and custom draining board. Good storage and all cookware, etc. Refrigeration from one 220VAC fridge and ice box (not in use) and a 12VDC fridge plus a 12VDC chiller box (2012). All cookware, utensils remain.

Electrics and Batteries
One 1500W inverter. The yacht's DC system is 12VDC. House bank is 1 200AH Lithium battery, a new Group 31 Engine start battery (2024), and a 4D windlass battery. DC charging from two 120W Kyocera and one 100W solar panel, a MarineKinetix wind generator, 80amp engine alternator, all fully regulated.
Two automatic electric bilge pumps with high water alarm and one manual bilge pump.
