Name "Moale" (say "Mo-Ah-Lee). Moale is a Papua New Guinean word from the Motu language that means "Place of peace and happiness". The owner was born and grew up in PNG. Moale can carry up to 8 pax overnight and 25 for day cruises. Sail/Power, Sloop rigged cruising catamaran Type Simpson 14m Performance Design. Year built 1996/7 Construction material; Hulls GRP & Cedar strip plank. Decks & Cabin top marine ply and GRP Interior marine ply, timber & GRP Registration Number 000636 . High Bridge deck clearance which minimizes "slapping" in open water and makes sailing very comfortable. Large reinforced trampoline areas between the hulls forward Wide side-decks providing easy access along the length of the vessel Large covered cockpit aft with extensive seating with BBQ and storage areas. Raised double-seat helm station at the front of the cockpit area on the PORT side note that both bows and transoms are visible from the helm area and the primary halyards are also led to this area. Wide saloon area with U shaped seating around a dining table Stair access to each hull from the saloon and stair access to forward beds from the hull. Large galley area in center of STBD hull Engines are accessed via AFT bedrooms. Berths are: PORT & STBD Hulls - 2 raised Queen beds in each hull, one FWD & one AFT (FWD ones are slightly bigger but all are doubles), 2 Bathrooms one in each hull - Manual pump marine toilets and hot/cold showers. Steps down at transoms with hatch access to the steering components. Lots of storage for water and fuel containers, garbage etc., in the transoms. Deck shower on PORT transom and swim ladder (removable) on STBD side. |

Oven works, but not well and needs replacing. Gas hoses to LPG bottles all replaced this year. Gas bottles stored outside in forward storage lockers. Mooring lines all in good condition and extra ropes provided. Ample Fenders and good storage space in forward deck lockers. Boat hook/s on board. Deck mop and scrubbing brush, broom. BBQ recently (June 2024) fully serviced and new S/S burners made (by Mechanical Services and Stainless Steel engineers in Nadi/Fiji). Now operates as new. 28 Life jackets including some child sizes. Suitable anchor and chain on-board. Spare anchor with chain.
