Bluewater-cruiser Bruce Roberts, 42 ft, GRP, 1998.
This robust and beautifully crafted bluewater yacht, a model by Bruce Roberts, was built in an Irish shipyard (Dublin) for the original owners circumnavigation and has proven its capabilities over more than a decade at sea, including extended solo voyages, across multiple oceans.
Since 2020, under second ownership, the yacht has been undergoing a continuous and well-documented refit. It is structurally strong and sound, fully seaworthy, and built to exceptional standards for long-distance cruising.
The solid GRP hull (no sandwich construction, no osmosis) ensures strength and durability. The keel is integrally cast with the hull, and the rudder is skeg-protected, offering excellent steering stability and safety. The rig is designed for offshore sailing - strongly dimensioned yet easy to handle. Two forestays (genoa cutter stay) with sails on furling-systems and all lines lead into the cockpit ensure good sailing characteristics with all wind-forces as well for small crews as for singlehanded sailing.
Mast with mast steps up to the first spreader. Hydrovane wind-steering system. Almost new engine (Yanmar 40 hp).
The yacht is ready to sail. VAT payed.
