38' Freedom F 38

DOLCETTO is a well-equipped Freedom F 38 with a spacious cabin and an unstayed carbon fiber mast with self-tacking camber spar jib. Designed by Gary Mull and built by Tillotson-Pearson for Freedom Yachts to be fast, easily sailed and capable of world travel. She was repowered with a larger 40hp Yanmar diesel (2005) and new sails in 2019. Beautiful stick built teak interior with all the amenities for comfortable cruising. New Rolly Tasker sails 2019. Full batten flattop mainsail with Harken ball bearing Battcars and 2:1 Halyard. Camberspar self-tacking Jib. Two reef points with single-line reefing system lazy jacks and lazy bag (2019). Carbon fiber unstayed mast.
Engine Updated 2005. Yanmar 40 hp (larger engine upgrade from the standard 27 hp). 2017 New 3 blade feathering Max Prop, ss shaft, cutlass bearing and Norscot dripless seal, engine mounts. Upgraded with multi-grove pulleys and serpentine belt.
Swim Platform. Martek Davits and crane. Teak Wheel and cockpit table. 240 watts Solar Panels, 2-100 Amp Hour LiFePO4 House Batteries (2025). 2-Dual Purpose Starter Batteries. Large Bimini top and dodger. Cockpit cushions.

Teak interior with hot and cold water, refrigerator, propane gimbled stove with oven. Two aluminum propane. Ample storage. Head with hot and cold shower.
65-gal fresh water holding tank. 16-gal waste holding tank. Extra 35-gal fresh water holding tank dedicated to flush head (eliminates head odor!). 10-gal water heater which uses engine heat or electric.
