The Mason 44 is a classic bluewater cruising sailboat renowned for its timeless lines, robust construction, and offshore capabilities. Designed by Al Mason (with input from Jeff Leishman) and built by the highly regarded Ta Shing Yacht Building in Taiwan.
The Mason 44 features a long keel and a monohull design, constructed with hand-laid fiberglass and reinforced with multiple full-length longitudinal stringers, heavy laminated sub-floors, and double-bonded structural bulkheads. The deck is a one-piece molded fiberglass structure, secured to the hull with a combination of 3M 5200 epoxy, heavy fiberglass bonding, through-bolts, and screwsresulting in one of the toughest hull-to-deck joints in the industry. |
