40' Crowther Buccaneer 40

-Lock Crowther designed Buccaneer 40 cutter home built in the Santa Cruz area with fiberglass over an AIREX foam core in the hulls. Glass over hardwood in the centerboard trunk and crossbeams. Launched in 1977 and spent a number of years in Hawaii, California and Baja California. Extensive refit back in Santa Cruz began in 2016, then sold to me in 2021. Many system and component improvements within the last 4 years. The last haul out occurred in May 2023 for a complete bottom job plus the installation of an Airmar 1kw transducer and Forespar Marelon 93 series thru hull and seavalve. Since 2023 the boat has been careened annually for a single coat of bottom paint.

-2021 Tohatsu MFS20E fuel injected 20hp outboard with electric start, power trim, and full remote operation from the cockpit with a wheel and throttle control. The ability to turn the motor hard over during anchoring and docking maneuvers reduces the turning radius of the vessel by well more than a half. Ultra long 27 shaft extended to 32 with a bay manufacturing extension housing which runs $795. The housing and motor were installed in the vessel in 2022; currently it has 98 hours but that will slowly rise with use. The motor is mounted on a custom stainless steel track and sled system which allows for easy raising and lowering. With rigging kit, extended shift and throttle cables, plus tax it totaled $4,991 in 2021.
-Maxwell RC8-8 Vertical Windlass ($1,951) and 200 of 5/16 G4 Acco chain ($1,098) both installed September 2024.
-Harken Ocean 1(staysail) and Ocean 2(genoa) roller furlers with extended link plate for genoa ($6,780 on 3/24/2022)
-Custom dyneema running backstays with Lewmar Synchro 50mm fiddle blocks ($504 in 2024)
-Genoa and staysail purchased used in 2022; re-cut and #6 luff tape added by Quantum San Diego ($3k)
-Raymarine ST2000 Plus Tiller Pilot with 1,500NM of solid performance to date ($560 7/24/2023)

-35 gallon freshwater tankage with pressure water pump installed 2022; easy to flush and rinse off the outboard while on a mooring.

-(3)Solar panels totalling 235W, Victron MPPT 100/30 smart charge controller installed 2021
-(2) Blue Sea System #8377 16 position 12v breaker panels
-Pioneer stereo with a pair of 6x9 speakers within the cabin as well as the cockpit
