44' Brewer Cutter Ketch

This 1988 44 ft Brewer Ketch is looking for her next captain. She has traveled the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway often and has sailed to Mexico, the Bahamas and Belize. Her 85-year-old semi-retired Captain has made upgrades and repairs (supporting records included) this year to help make her ready for new adventures with a new captain.
Wild Oats has a fiberglass hull and is 44 by 13.5 feet; she draws 5 feet with the swing keel up and 9 feet with it down. She is equipped with rod rigging, aluminum masts (62ft main) with climbing steps on the main and an aft mast, built in boarding ladder at the stern, 16 stainless steel ports, five hatches, and fiberglass decks have cetol coated wood trim. The interior includes a navigation center, and a galley with a new stainless-steel sink/faucet (2021), a three-burner propane stove w/oven (two newer 10 lb. tanks), top and front opening refrigerator (recently serviced). There is also a salon, with sofas on both sides of the center that convert into berths, two cabins and two heads with Corian counters. The aft captain's cabin head includes a small bathtub, and the forward cabin has direct access to the forward head. Storage under sofas, in the galley, closets and various cabinets throughout.

Sails: Staysail, Main, Mizzen, Spinnaker (spinnaker pole is stored on main mast),
Instruments: Standard Horizon Chart Plotter, Simrad Chart Plotter w/radar (2021), two VHF radios, single side band radio, windspeed/direction indicator, Ray Marine autopilot.
Other equipment: Reconditioned folding prop, new prop shaft, two anchors: 66lb Bruce, 45lb Ricoh and, Windlass (operational from foredeck or at the wheel), wind generator, two 130 watt solar panels on the stern, bow thruster, electric jib winches, Westerbeke 6 kw generator, two heat pumps (run on shore power or generator), 3 inverters, 85HP Perkins 4236 diesel engine. 260-gallon fuel tanks and 2-100- gallon water tanks at the center line, TV located in cabinet above sofa on starboard side. 9-31 AGM Batteries, 10 ft inflatable dinghy with 6hp Johnson motor.

2018: 210-pound capacity fiberglass propane tanks. 2021: Fuel injector pump replaced, and fuel delivery system serviced. 2022: Westerbeke generator was rebuilt. 2023: New bow thruster. 2024: Air conditioner water pump for forward heat pump replaced, and new prop shaft. 2025: Wiring repairs to auto pilot (rudder angle indicator, depth finder and wind and speed indicator and water temp sensor), air conditioner and water systems serviced, new battery charger for starting engines, new professionally installed Raritan ElectroScan in aft head.
